Initial Psychiatric Evaluation
Duration: 60 -90 Minutes
Mental Health Facilities:
An initial evaluation consisting of a telepsychiatry interview will be scheduled for 60 or 90 minutes. This interview will be conducted by a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. At the conclusion of your evaluation, you will be recommended for initial medication treatment, continued medication management, psychotherapy, or both. In many cases, a combined approach involving both medication and psychotherapy produces the best results.
Medication Management Follow up

Follow-up appointments are generally shorter in duration, that is 15 to 30 minutes, with a focus on making medication adjustments, reviewing potential medication interactions, mental health facilities considering the impact of other medical disorders on the patient’s mental and emotional functioning, and counseling patients regarding changes they might make to facilitate healing and remission of symptoms.
